The minimalist trek

Climbing HIGHER with LESS

In a world that often equates “more” with “better,” The Minimalist Trek invites participants to pause, reflect, and realign. Through an immersive, metaphorical mountain journey, learners explore five dimensions of minimalism—physical, digital, emotional, financial, and professional. Guided through interactive checkpoints, reflection tools, and mindful conversations, participants learn to identify what truly adds value and what can be released. The trek culminates in a shared “Museum of Lightness,” a collective mosaic of insights and intentions for living and working with clarity and lightness.

about the author

The Minimalist Trek workshop is a collaborative learning experience designed by minimalisTee and the rebalance institute. minimalisTee is a Kolkata-based initiative that redefines minimalism as a way to move from “the way it is” to “the way you want it to be,” supporting simpler and more intentional ways of living.

The rebalance institute designs experiential, hands-on learning experiences around sustainability, responsible leadership, and social innovation, with a focus on learning that is meaningful, reflective, and engaging.

The workshop was informed by research and framing by Vidhatri Saxena, and was designed and brought to life by Aishika Chakraborty of the rebalance institute, drawing from her background in psychology and her interest in translating complex systems into accessible, human stories.

The workshop was developed in close collaboration with Ajay Binani and Pauline Laravoire, founders of minimalisTee and the rebalance institute respectively.
